This is my attempt to copy the Composition No.II, with Red and Blue painted in 1929 by Piet Mondrian. The original painting was oil on canvas.
I saw the original painting about 15 years ago. At the time, I was not able to appreciate modern art, thinking why such a simple painting was worth to be displayed.
Yet I returned to visit this painting in the following years. I find that the simple pattern is easy to remember and recognize, and I think such color will be really beautiful if painted on a dress or a scarf.
I guess that’s the beauty of this painting.
